Birds Eye® Is Putting the Play Back on the Plate to Help Kids Eat Healthier by Enjoying Their Veggies

Birds Eye® is going straight to the source, kids, to show kids how fun eating their veggies can be. For the second year in a row, we’re partnering with Nickelodeon™, the number one entertainment brand for kids, and Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy as our veggie-loving ambassador. Together we're on a mission to put the play back on the plate to get kids to eat more veggies. We are running a multi-week challenge on, starting on July 22nd, for families to seize the fun and Rewrite the Dinnertime Rules leading up to the 10th annual Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play on September 21. While playing with their veggies and enjoying more relaxed family dinners, families will also be vying for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Worldwide Day of Play in New York to share their ideas and celebrate with Jennette. Beyond this partnership, Birds Eye® has pledged a three-year commitment to the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), which works with the private sector and PHA Honorary Chair First Lady Michelle Obama to end the childhood obesity epidemic. The First Lady has lauded Birds Eye's innovative approach to inspiring kids and helping support moms, saying she is "proud that Birds Eye and the Partnership for a Healthier America have come together to make the healthy choice the easy choice for families."
