Directions

  • Step one

Microwave rice according to package directions, cooking 1 bag at a time. Pour rice out onto a large plate and refrigerate uncovered at least 10 minutes and up to an hour.

  • Step two

Stir together oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper in a small bowl. Crack eggs into another small bowl and beat them with a fork. Prepare the rest of the ingredients so you can have them at hand when you start frying your rice.

  • Step three

Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Pour in rice and cook 3 minutes undisturbed. Turn rice and move it to the edge of the pan.

  • Step four

Add onion to center of pan and cook until tender, about 2 minutes. Stir in garlic and ginger, move to side of pan with rice. Add ham and peas to center of pan and cook until warm, about 2 minutes. Move to edge of pan.

  • Step five

Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to center of skillet. Pour in eggs and cook until scrambled. Pour in pineapple and sauce mixture and stir everything together. Cook until sauce is absorbed, about 2 minutes. Garnish your Hawaiian fried rice with green onion and serve!
