Ingredients

2 pounds steak, thinly sliced against the grain (top sirloin or flank steak)

3/4 cup lower sodium beef broth

1/4 cup oyster sauce

1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, chopped
-
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh ginger

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 bag (10.8 oz each) Birds Eye® Steamfresh Broccoli Florets

Hot cooked rice, optional
-
sesame seeds, optional
-
chopped green onion, optional

Directions

Step one
Whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger in a medium bowl.

Add sliced beef to a 6-quart slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over top. Toss to coat.

Cover and cook on HIGH setting 2½ to 3 hours until beef is tender.

Step four
Whisk together cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Stir into slow cooker and continue cooking 10 minutes until sauce begins to thicken.

Cook broccoli according to package directions while sauce thickens. Turn slow cooker off and gently toss cooked broccoli with beef mixture. Serve your beef and broccoli over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Tips
For extra flavor, sear the steak in a skillet briefly, before adding to slow cooker.
If desired, cook and drain 4 cups Birds Eye® Broccoli Florets in place of the Steamfresh Broccoli.
