1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1/2 cup diced celery

1/2 cup diced onion

1 clove garlic, chopped

6 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth

2 cups rotisserie chicken

1 bay leaf

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 bag (10 oz each) Birds Eye® Steamfresh Whole Grain Rice with Corn, Carrots and Peas

Directions

Step one
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until just tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Step two
Add chicken broth, chicken, bay leaf, salt, pepper, basil, oregano and rice to saucepan. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

Step three
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving you chicken and rice soup.
