Ingredients

1 bag (10.8 oz each) Birds Eye® Steamfresh Broccoli Florets

4 cups water

1 pkg (16 oz each) dry gemelli or penne pasta, uncooked

1 teaspoon kosher salt

2 tablespoons butter
-
1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1 cup heavy (whipping) cream

1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Directions

Step one
Microwave broccoli according to package directions.

Step two
Pour water into a large nonstick skillet; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in pasta and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook 5 minutes.

Stir in butter and garlic, and continue cooking uncovered 5 to 7 minutes, until water is mostly absorbed, and pasta is nearly al dente, stirring frequently.

Pour in heavy cream and continue cooking and stirring until sauce is thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cheese, broccoli, and black pepper. Serve broccoli alfredo with additional Parmesan, if desired.
